The Vienna Quilt

Designing the Vienna Quilt pattern for you was so much joy. I lived in Vienna for more than a decade and whenever I look at it, good memories are awakened. It might look like a complicated pattern, but at the end it is super easy and fast to make.

Let’s have a look at the versions my pattern testers made. It's always a pleasure to work with such an amazing and creative team. I would be lost without them. The exchange among each other in the tester chat group is always so much fun, extremely inspiring and supportive.

Here we go:

Kathleen made a wonderful 2 colour babysize version with additional borders on top and bottom.

Daphne upcycled old jeans and turned a 4 colour wallquilt into a bright and colourful pillow.

A 5 colour throw version with borders was made by Jana. All the turquoise tones remind me of summer and the sea.

McKenzie tested the 4 colour wallquilt for me. With an addidional seam you can make some extra HSTs (tip is in the pattern included). McKenzie made some beautiful mug rugs with them (in the photogalery below).

Amy was already in Xmas mood while testing and made a great festive version (4 colour throw with borders).

Tina turned her 4 colour wallquilt also into a pillow. Love that she combined prints with a solid background.

Katie used wonderful pastell colours for her 4 colour throw size with borders. Already makes me forget the winter and thinking about spring.

Claudia has chosen strong and contrasting colours for her 4 colour wallquilt. She made an extra border for a bit of a bigger pillow.

Sian has chosen fabrics with lots and lots of stars on them and turned them into a gorgeous babysize version.

Gaby used up some fabrics from her Amsterdamquilt and created a 4 colour wallquilt in blues.

Rebecca made a wonderful looking 4 colour wallquilt in grey and green/yellow. I like how she combined straight line quilting with free motion quilting. Rebecca is giving it as a gift to a friend of hers - so lovely!
