The Amsterdam Quilt

The Amsterdam Quilt pattern was inpired by the “Grachten” (water canals), Amsterdam is famous for.

Sometimes the beauty lies in the simplicity of a quilt.

There is no doubt - pattern testers make a significant contribution to improving a quilt pattern. I am more than happy to introduce you to all of the fantastic people who tested the Amsterdam Quilt pattern.

Daphné made a wonderful babysize quilt and used cotton couture solids from Michael Miller fabrics.

(magenta, geranium, auburn, orange, gold, spruce, cream)

Claudia made a large throwsize for her son using the colours from the Linzer soccer team “Lask”.

She used Art Gallery fabrics.

Annie created a most wonderful pillow in lovely nude tones.

She used Emily Belle Liberty from Riley Blake Design and as a solid the colour prchent from Kona Cotton.

McKenzie used frabics from the “nocturnal” collection by gingiber from modafabrics.

I love how the mint, blue and yellow go together. She made a large throwsize.

Crystal made a fantasic 7 colour babysize. It seems like the Amsterdam Quilt is perfect for rainbow versions.

Gaby made a large throw for her son. Those blues - I love it!

She used Essex Linen steel for the background and the blues are from Kona Cotton.

(lake, water, malibu, pacific, prussia and navy)

Amy created a bright and shiny babysize quilt in purple.

She used gradients parfait and moda grunge by moda fabrics.

Jennifer made a lovely wallhanging/pillow versions in orange.

She used ombre galaxy for the stripes and Kona Cotton for the background.

Claudia couldn’t be stopped. She made three wallhanging/pillow versions in one day! You can clearly see that the pattern works with solids as well as with prints. Just lovely.

Kersten made a beautiful babysize. She made it her own version by rearranging the colours. I love it when my pattern is used as kind of a guideline.
