The Gizeh Quilt

Why is it named the Gizeh Quilt you might ask? Well, one block consists of two Flying Geese creating two pyramids. One being the reflection of the other, due to the phenomenon of the Fata Morgana, which is symbolized by the stripes in the middle of the quilt block.

My team of pattern testers got very creative and did a most wonderful job. This time quilters from Austria, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland and Canada were part of it. It's always such a joy to work with an amazing and creative team together from all over the world. They definitely helped me making the pattern the best possible version for you.

So, lets have a look at their work:

Sally made this amazing three colour Large Throwsize. The good thing - if you wanna make the exact same version she is offering quilt kits for you!

Sian made this super cute babysize 2 colour version with lots of little lady bugs as her background fabric.

Claudia came up with this colourful large Throwsize Fat Quarter version. It is such a happy quilt - light and fresh. I love the quilting!

Rebecca actually wanted to make a babysize. She had so much fun with the blocks and all of a sudden she finished a most wonderful small Throwsize. Her version is a super example for using prints for this quilt!

Kims colour combination is so cool. I love how the neon green pops out.

Aurora made a bright Fat Quater babysize with the 4 prime colours yellow, green, blue and red.

Claudia made 2 babysize versions and sewed them together. She is about to add some borders around it to make it larger. I love the background colour.

Jennifer created a most stunning babysize version. Can you feel the 80s? She turned the gizeh quilt into her very own version by changing the stripes for the middleblock and used more colours for her little snowball corner in the very center!
