How to combine the color PEACH for Quilts
Wether you like that color or not - currently peach is all over the place.
Every year the Pantone color institute chooses a color of the year and for 2024 they declared “PEACH FUZZ” to the color of the year 2024.
Peach is a warm color and is made of a mix of red, yellow and white. It falls between pink and orange on the color wheel and is said to radiate warmth and modern elegance.
Peach is a very friendly, warm and comforting color and can be used as an accent or as a background.
You would like to use the color in one of your quilting projects but having troubles finding the right color combination?
Peach is actually pretty easy to combine with other colors. Depending on the overall look and aesthetics you are looking for your next quilt project you can go in completely different color directions. Today I show you 3 totally different combinations with peach that work wonderfully for your next quilting project.
1) SUMMERVIBES
By combining peach with other pastel colors like coral, pink, mint you create a fun, fresh, joyful and summer feeling quilt.
A perfect quilt for a beach day, a picnic or for a baby girl.
2) HARMONY
A different way to combine peach is with its complementary color blue. Think about a sunset or sunrise where the different shades of blue from the sky harmonize perfectly with the peach shades from the sun.
That combination is very calming, gentle and absolutely timeless.
3) DRAMATIC
Peach not only stands for lightness, freshness and tenderness. You can also create a very dramatic, elegant and sophisticated look by combining it with greens and gold or terracotta like colors.
